Nigerian Man kills 8-day-old daughter for rituals

Wonders they say will never end as an eight-day-old baby girl was over the weekend allegedly killed by her step father for ritual purposes. The ugly incident took place in Jesse, Delta State, Nigeria. Already, the suspect who confessed that he carried out the act on the orders of a spiritualist in Ghana, is currently in police custody. State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Charles Muka, who confirmed the development in a statement, yesterday, in Asaba, said: “One Mrs. Gladys Emafuru, female, of Okunu village in  Jesse area of Delta state, Nigeria reported that at about 3:10pm, while she was sleeping with her eight-day- old baby girl, the child’s step father (names withheld) 24 years old, walked into the apartment and killed the baby with a cutlass, opened the stomach and collected the intestines, heart and other vital parts.” The police spokes man added that “the suspect after collecting the vital parts of the baby, concealed them in a black cellophane bag and was about escaping to Ghana when he was caught and arrested. He has confessed committing the crime, saying that it was demanded for in Ghana.”
