Motorcyclist Sells Nurse To Ritual Killers For N10,000 in River state, Nigeria

A commercial motorcyclist, identified simply as Ifeanyi, has been arrested for allegedly handing over a nurse, Mrs. Helen Ilonge, to ritual killers after collecting N10, 000. It was gathered that the nurse Mrs. Ilonge had on Tuesday last week took Ifeanyi’s motorcycle on her way to Igoli along the Ogoja-Ikom Highway in Ogoja LGA, Rivers State Nigeria. Ilonge, the coordinator of Primary Health Care in Bekwarra Local Government Area of Cross River State, was coming from a programme at the Assemblies of God Church, Abakaliki in Ebonyi State, and had alighted from a vehicle at Okpongrinya junction before taking the bike. It was gathered that Ilonge (51) was beheaded while her other vital reproductive parts such as bosom and womanliness were removed for ritual purposes. Ilonge’s neighbour, Mrs. Theresa Idagwu, on Sunday said, “Ifeanyi took the lady from Okpogrinya Junction on the pretence that he was taking her to the village, which is 10 minutes drive from the point. But along the way, he stopped and handed her over to kidnappers at Ukpe. Meanwhile, the woman had called her daughter, Victoria, around 9pm that she had taken a bike at Okpogrinya Junction on her way to Igoli. She said when she gets to her destination; she would call again so that Victoria would boil water for her to take her bath. That was Ilonge’s last call.” Repeated calls made to the woman’s line, according to Idagwu, indicated that it was switched off. She said Ilonge’s family became worried when the woman did not return home. “We went everywhere- police stations, hospitals and even her friends in Igoli, thinking that may be an accident had occurred along the road but we got nothing,” Idagwu added. Two days later, Idagwu said someone called Victoria on her phone and informed her that her mother had been kidnapped. The caller demanded a ransom of N50, 000 to be remitted in form of recharge cards. She said, “Since her daughter could not raise the money, she rushed to the Bekwarra LGA headquarters where the head of administration, Mr. Bisong Bogbo, and the chairman, Mr. Linus Edeh, provided the money with which she bought recharge cards and sent to the caller. “The voice claimed that he needed the recharge cards so he could sell and run away from his master who is a ritual killer. He claimed that he had been serving his master for a long time and wanted to run away. He said once he gets the cards, he will break the door where the nurse is being kept and release her.” The LGA’s head of administration, Bogbo, confirmed that the cards were sent to the kidnapper through Victoria’s telephone. He said immediately the alleged kidnapper confirmed receipt of the cards; he switched off his telephone. Luck, however, ran out of Ifeanyi. Policemen tracked his telephone line and discovered that he called Victoria from Abuochiche. Further investigations, it was gathered, showed that Ifeanyi had been selling the cards in the village immediately he got them. When he was arrested, Bogbo told our correspondent that Ifeanyi led the police to one of the ritual killers identified simply as Elvis. Elvis, according to Bogbo, confessed that the nurse had already been killed and some of her vital organs removed before Ifeanyi asked for the recharge cards. Elvis also said the remains of the woman were buried in a swamp. At the council headquarters, one of the late nurse’s colleagues, Mr. Gabriel Ogar, said she was probably the kindest woman he ever worked with. Ogar said, “I have worked with five coordinators, but I know that she is just the best so far. She worked to the admiration of Governor Liyel Imoke and now she has been killed leaving her five children without a helper. “Her husband died 12 years ago and since then she has been the one taking care of the children and only one has graduated. Please let the government do something for those poor children.” When contacted on Monday, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Osita Ezechukwu, said the police were still investigating the matter. He said four suspects had been apprehended by the anti-homicide unit, adding that when the investigation was completed the suspects would be prosecuted. “We have taken confessional statement from them. Those who are not involved have been allowed to go while those who are involved are still in detention,” Ezechukwu said.

Woman Loses Hands And Legs To Illegal Butt enhancement Injection

Teased by her family and friends about her flat "pancake" booty, Apryl Michelle Brown had always been insecure about her backside. Once she got enough money, she told herself, she'd buy herself a better one. "I didn't know if I wanted to look like Janet Jackson or J. Lo," the Los Angeles cosmetologist, 46, says in an exclusive interview featured in the November issue of ESSENCE magazine. "I just wanted a new, bigger booty." Tragically, her quest for curves cost her all her limbs and almost her life. In 2004, Brown says she paid a "pumper," an unlicensed person, to inject industrial-grade silicone into her buttocks. Brown can't recall how much the woman actually charged — maybe $500, maybe $1,000 — but over time, she says, the area became intensely irritated and painful, and the skin blackened. By early 2006 she says the silicone had hardened, causing severe pain and infection, ultimately requiring her to have lifesaving amputation of her limbs last year. Now adjusting to her new life with prosthetics, Brown shares her story — and her warning for others tempted to check out "pumping parties" — with writer Amy Elisa Keith in ESSENCE. "I was left here for a purpose," she says. "I have to get the word out so that nobody else makes this choice."

Thugs Beat-up Teacher Who Flogged Oba-of-Benin's Grand-daughter!!!

Teachers of the Federal Government Girls Secondary School in Benin City have threatened to down tools over an attack on some of them by some suspected thugs. It was gathered that the suspected hoodlums invaded the school Monday and manhandled some teachers over the alleged flogging of a student in the school by one of the teachers. The flogged student is said to be a grand daughter of the Benin Monarch, Oba Erediauwa. She was allegedly injured on the hand after being flogged by the teacher. The thugs who stormed the school thereafter demanded to see the teacher that flogged the girl. When their demand was not met, they resorted to manhandling the teachers around, including one of the Vice Principals. The State Chairman of TUC, Joe Aligbe who confirmed that the thugs were armed and threatened to return if the staff was not produced, said the flogging incident which took place two weeks ago was not reported to the school authorities. “Our members are now afraid. We are here to appeal to them for calm. The principal is not aware. I know the Benin Monarch will not approve of this action,” he said. Vice Principal, Special Duties, Mr. Ihiridan Harga said the school management team are new and was not aware of the flogging of a Benin Princess, adding: “The alleged offence was committed before we resume here. We were not aware of the flogging. They were many and led by two chiefs.” “We didn’t even know the staff they claim that beat up the granddaughter of the Oba of Benin. They started beating up everybody. The principal invited the police and the police said they must get invitation by writing before they come. The police didn’t come.” The Public Relations Officer to the Benin Palace, Robinson Osayamen said he was not aware of the incident. He however confirmed receiving calls from journalists on the incident.

Independence Day Murder… Police Kill Teenager in Bayelsa State, Nigeria

The Independence Day anniversary recorded a tragedy in Bayelsa State, Nigeria as a police officer allegedly killed a 16-year-old boy along Hospital Road in Yenagoa. Police patrol teams were immediately withdrawn from the metropolis on Tuesday shortly after the killing. The killing of the boy, whose identity could not be ascertained, increased to three, the number of persons allegedly shot dead by the police in the past two months. Our correspondent found that the incident which occurred at about 5pm on Monday threw the popular road which has many bars and brothels into panic. Eyewitnesses told our correspondent that after shooting the boy, the policemen immediately fled the area. One of the eyewitnesses who identified herself simply as Charity said the killer policeman was seen running after the boy. She said the policeman who was some miles away from the teenager opened fire on him but made a U-turn after discovering that he had died. She said sympathizers who later approached the body discovered that the boy was shot in the head. She also claimed that the victim’s girl friend was arrested by the police. “Many of us witnessed it. We saw the boy running and we also saw a policeman chasing him with a gun. Suddenly we heard gunshots, and saw the boy fell to the ground with blood gushing out of his head,” Edna claimed. She said the body of the victim was on the road for over an hour before a police patrol van from the “A” Division came and took it away. The Police Command Public Relations Officer, Mr. Fidelis Odunna, confirmed that the police took away the body of the victim but said he had yet to know the circumstances that led to his death. “I can confirm the death of a youth because I was driving along the road when I saw the corpse of the boy lying on the road. I then called the Police Division in charge of the area to come and remove it,” he said. He said the remains were taken to the mortuary for autopsy, adding that investigation had commenced on the matter. “We cannot say that the boy was killed by the police because we are yet to establish the allegation,” he said.
