Lagos Robberies: Three Suspects In Police Net

Three armed robbery suspects-Uche Okeagbu, Emmanuel Ezeani and Chinonso Nwuangwu-have been arrested by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Lagos, in connection with the September 9, 2012 robberies in the state, which left three policemen and a civilian dead. The suspects were arrested at their Ajangbadi hideout on September 23 following a tip-off. The suspects were said to be members of a much larger group, which had about three weeks ago, carried out simultaneous robberies in Gbagada, Agege, Anthony, Ojodu, Itire, Ikeja and Ilasamaja areas of the state. Married man caught having sex with sheep in Ebonyi State, Nigeria

Bride Dies in a Ghastly Car Accident on her Way to Church for her Wedding

Fatal Accident at Ijebu Ode Claims More Than 50 Lives

Tragedy struck at the Ijebu-Ode roundabout of the notorious Benin-Ore Expressway on Tuesday late evening when no fewer than 50 people were confirmed dead in a ghastly multiple road crash that occurred. It was gathered that a truck loaded with flour rammed into a commuter bus heading to Lagos killing all the passengers on board together with by-standers, Street hawkers, Okada riders and even passenger-buses parked along the road were not spared in the accident. Some commuters standing by the road side, begging for free ride to their destinations were part of the victims. At the end of which over 50 bodies lay live less. According to sources, scores of people sustained serious injuries in the incident. Man Arrested With Dead Baby in Suitcase in Abuja

An unidentified man has been nabbed in Abuja with a suitcase stuffed with a dead baby. According to eye witness account, the man was nabbed at tipper garage very close to Gwarimpa housing estate in Abuja with a dead baby boy packed in a travel bag (suitcase). The source said, the man tried to board a commercial bus with his suitcase, but the conductor declined him from putting the bag in the passenger area because he had no ample space in the bus. The conductor, it was further learnt, insisted that the man handed over his suitcase for storage in the trunk. But the man refused. It was gathered that when the conductor stood his ground, the suspicious man decided to disembark from the bus. At that point the conductor asked what he had inside the case but the man was mute. Woman Gives Birth to Horse in a Church in Edo state Nigeria

Strange occurrences have consistently greeted the Nigeria women in delivery mood which many has attributed to voodoo and witchcraft. Just recently, worshippers of the World Liberation Ministry located along old Sapele-Benin express road, Edo state, Nigeria on Tuesday took to their heels during a prophesy program when a female member of the church delivered a horse. But for the 30 or so church members who branded themselves with 666 and SSS — the initials of De Jesus’ motto, “salvo siempre salvo,” or “saved always saved” — it’s a mark of their absolute faith in De Jesus. Church members say the symbol doesn’t connect them to Satan but rather to De Jesus’ claim that he has replaced Christ’s teachings with a new gospel. Patience Jonathan Diagnosed With Ruptured Appendicitis

Nigeria’s first lady is being treatedfor ruptured appendicitis in Germany. Mum is the word at Aso Rock, seat of the Nigerian presidency, as state officials resort to silence in disclosing the health status of the First lady, Patience Jonathan, who is undergoing treatment at a German hospital. Authoritative presidency sources, Tuesday, told PREMIUM TIMES that Mrs. Jonathan is receiving treatment for “ruptured appendicitis.” A source said the matter worsened because health officials erred in managing her illness and thought she had food poisoning. Last night media aides to the first lady did not respond to a request by the Associated Press (AP) to comment on the situation. But a government official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, to the AP, held that the firstlady is being hospitalised for food poisoning. According to the government official, Mrs. Jonathan fell sick about 10 days ago, after she hosted a summit of first ladies from across Africa. Man Testing ‘Bullet Proof’ Charm Shoots Son Dead
